What's in a name?

Lorne Gunter, of the Canadian National Post notes that Edmonton's Earth Day 2008 - which began yesterday – was not particularly well attended. This, he speculates, might have had something to do with the fact that it was 25 degrees below normal for this time of year, with the city still deep in snow.

He also notes that "climate change" has replaced "global warming" in green rhetoric, suggesting that this is in part because there is less and less proof that much warming is occurring. Another reason, he advances, is so that whenever there is a climate catastrophe - too much cold or too much heat, too much rain or too little, more hurricanes or fewer, longer summers or early frosts - all of it could be blamed on humans.

I think this lady man has the measure of the Greenies.
