Insult to injury


Why do those creatures in Whitehall believe that sending us letters telling us how they've spent our money make things any better? It's rather like a burglar sending an inventory of the goods he's stolen from your house – more like crowing about how clever he is.

On the other hand, Witterings from Witney gets the point. If we are have a democracy in this land, the politicians must ask permission before they take our money, and we must have the power to say no. That's called Referism - an annual referendum to approve the budget. Anything else is taking the mick (as well as our money).
