In anticipation of the "great debate" this evening, I was going to write a coruscating piece on the current state of the parties. But, as I started writing, I found I really couldn't be bothered ... and, in any case, Autonomous Mind has done it better than I would have done.
Will I be watching the debate? Nope. I shall be watching this like a hawk – the best possible measure of public sentiment. I give it ten minutes after the 8.30 start before demand starts soaring.
