No jurisdiction

This - an "eco-standard" for new buildings - is going to cost us a great deal of money, and create massive problems. Given the considerable imposition, and the contentious nature of the subject, it should be debated in and approved by Parliament.

But, the matter is being dealt with by our supreme government in Brussels. Our own legislature is not involved and it has no jurisdiction in the matter. "Environment" is an exclusive competence of the European Union.

This is but one example of many which illustrates how our MPs have become redundant. And they still want a pay rise?
