Prisoners' voting rights

Many readers will already be aware that the European Court of Human Rights has today issued its judgement on the case of Hirst v. the United Kingdom on the rights of prisoners to vote in the UK.

There has already been much misinformed – and ill-formed – comment on this case and, in view of its importance and implications, we will be publishing our own report on it shortly.
