The Czech government is in trouble again. Let me rephrase that: government in the Czech Republic is in trouble again.
On Tuesday Mirek Topolanek’s minority government lost a vote of confidence, this automatically triggering a resignation. In the 200 strong lower house 99 deputies voted against, 96 in favour and 5 were absent. (Perhaps they will now be defenestrated.)
On we go to the next one. At least the Hungarian Prime Minister is likely to win his vote of confidence tomorrow.
