The spectator sees more of the game

click here to go to the blogIn what may be part of a co-ordinated fight against being forced to acquire protected vehicles, David Axe, freelance journalist extraordinaire, has been given a license by the Army to take a pop at the Mastiff in an article written for World Politics Review.

In it, he argues that, "for British forces in Iraq, protection means loss of effectiveness" and, in a long post over on Defence of the Realm, I have analysed and reviewed the arguments. These are just as relevant to Afghanistan, where soldiers continue to be killed for lack of suitable equipment.
